Peer Review Standards

Double-Blind Peer Review

VEJOH employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process. This ensures objective evaluation based solely on the scholarly merit of the work.

Review Timeline

Initial editorial screening: 2-3 weeks
Peer review process: 6-8 weeks
Editorial decision: 8-12 weeks from submission

Review Criteria

  • • Originality and significance of contribution
  • • Methodological rigor and theoretical framework
  • • Clarity of presentation and argumentation
  • • Relevance to journal scope and readership
  • • Adherence to ethical research standards

Authorship Criteria

Authorship credit should be based on substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research study.

Authorship Requirements

  • • Substantial contribution to conception and design
  • • Participation in data acquisition or analysis
  • • Involvement in drafting or critical revision
  • • Final approval of the version to be published
  • • Agreement to be accountable for all aspects

Contributor Recognition

  • • Technical assistance should be acknowledged
  • • Financial support must be disclosed
  • • Data providers should be credited
  • • Writing assistance must be acknowledged
  • • All contributors must consent to publication

Publication Ethics

Research Integrity

Originality: All submissions must be original work that has not been published elsewhere or is under consideration by another journal.

Plagiarism: Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate rejection.

Data Integrity: Authors must ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data presented in their manuscripts.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could potentially bias their work or be perceived as doing so.

Financial Interests: Funding sources, employment, consultancies, stock ownership, or other financial interests must be declared.

Personal Relationships: Close personal relationships with individuals who might be affected by the research should be disclosed.

Ethical Approval

Research involving human subjects must have appropriate ethical approval from relevant institutional review boards or ethics committees.

Informed Consent: Evidence of informed consent must be provided for studies involving human participants.

Animal Research: Studies involving animals must comply with institutional and international guidelines for animal care and use.

Open Access Policy

VEJOH is committed to open access publishing to ensure the widest possible dissemination of scholarly research. All articles are freely available to readers worldwide with enhanced discoverability through CrossRef DOI assignment.

No Publication Fees

VEJOH does not charge authors any article processing charges (APCs) or submission fees, making quality publishing accessible to all scholars.

Copyright Policy

Authors retain copyright of their work while granting VEJOH non-exclusive rights to publish and distribute the article.

Editorial Misconduct

Handling Misconduct

VEJOH takes allegations of research misconduct seriously and follows established procedures for investigating and addressing such concerns.

Retraction Policy

Articles may be retracted if they contain significant errors, evidence of misconduct, or violate publication ethics standards.
